How Kingpin got here
Kingpin started the way most good trade companies do — a crew, a truck, and work won street by street around Geneva. A decade on, it is four full-time crews and 27 field staff installing eight to ten roofs a week across four counties, with Eric and Zach still running it from the same town. Growth changed the logistics; it did not change who looks at your roof first or who answers for the work after.
The crew system, and why it matters to you
Every job runs under a foreman who owns it end to end — the morning walkthrough, the tarping, the tear-off decisions when the deck is open, and the final walk with you before anyone leaves. Crews are employees on our payroll and our insurance, not a rotating cast of subcontractors, which is why the standard does not wobble job to job. It is also why we can put 337 reviews at 5.0 next to our name without flinching: the same people keep doing it the same way.
What we will not do
No storm-chasing out-of-state crews wearing our name. No four-hour kitchen-table sales visits. No quoting from satellite photos. No games with insurance adjusters — inflated claims put homeowners at risk and we decline that work. And no promises the brief cannot keep: we do not offer 24/7 call-out or same-day miracles, and we would rather tell you that at hello than disappoint you at midnight. What you get instead is a real inspection, one exact number, and a schedule we hit.
Rooted in Geneva, invested in Northeast Ohio
This is where we live — our kids’ schools, our neighbors’ roofs, our name on trucks people recognize at the gas station. A local reputation is unforgiving in the best way: every job either builds it or spends it. That, more than any slogan, is the warranty behind the warranty.
Ask around and you will hear the same surprising compliment: somebody answers the phone. Nikki runs the office Monday through Friday, 8 to 6 — scheduling inspections, chasing your quote through its 24-hour window, and keeping you informed from deposit to walkthrough. Several of our five-star reviews are as much about her as about the roof, and we count that as the system working.
The numbers that describe us
Ten-plus years in business. Four full-time crews, 27 field staff, eight to ten roofs a week. One shop in Geneva, four counties covered, roughly an hour’s honest service radius. 337 Google reviews at a flat 5.0, and a 10-year workmanship warranty layered over Owens Corning material coverage. None of those numbers is a slogan — every one is checkable, and the inspection write-up you receive is built to the same standard: facts, photographed, in writing.
Where the company goes from here
Growth for us means depth, not sprawl: keeping the service radius honest, promoting foremen from inside, and adding a crew only when the review record proves the standard held at the current size. What will not change is the shape of the promise — an owner-inspected quote, one exact number, a one-day install done clean, and a company still in Geneva when year nine of your warranty comes around.
Read our 337 reviews in sequence and you can watch the company learn. Early reviews praise the roofs; the middle years add the clean-up and the communication as systems tightened; the recent ones increasingly mention the office, the scheduling, the follow-through — the boring machinery around the roof. That progression is deliberate. Shingles are the easy part of this trade; the operational discipline around them is what took ten years to build and what the record actually measures.
Start With Trust
Free inspection, exact quote in 24 hours, most roofs finished the day the crew shows up.
Owners you can actually reach
Eric runs inspections; Zach runs production; both answer their phones. On an eight-to-ten-roof week that accessibility is a choice with a cost, and we pay it because every escalation path in this company is one step long. If something on your job needs an owner, you get an owner — not a case number, not a callback window, not a franchise hotline two states away.
The boring credentials, stated plainly
Bonded and insured in the State of Ohio, certificates supplied on request without a sigh. Owens Corning Preferred Contractor, verifiable on the manufacturer’s own locator. A physical shop in Geneva you can drive to, a decade of local permit history, and 337 public reviews we cannot edit. Credentials are the floor, not the pitch — but check ours against anyone quoting your roof, because the floor is where corners usually get cut.
